The size of air compressor you may need really depends on two things...Air Demand (Cubic Feet Per Minute, CFM) and pressure (psi). If you are looking at a piston type air compressor, you want to oversize it by at least 25% (50% for most consumer rated compressors) Rotary xxxx compressors can run at 100% duty, so you don't need to oversize them.
